THE BASEMENT DEMOLITION

"THE BASEMENT DEMOLITION" is the follow-up to WESTHILL's debut mixtape, "THE BASEMENT DEMOS." Released on May 13th, 2024, this collection of 11 rough demos and conceptual tracks showcases the group's creative process following their initial release. Promoted as a demo tape, "THE BASEMENT DEMOLITION" captures the raw, unfiltered essence of WESTHILL’s artistic evolution.

 

As with the debut mixtape, I featured on this project and led its creative direction. Together with the group, I decided on a "rough around the edges" aesthetic to align with the nature of the release. The project was dropped with minimal promotion, yet I crafted the mixtape cover, single cover, and a series of post-release promotion videos for each track. I also held the final decision on the tracklisting and the overall sound, ensuring it embodied the intended raw and experimental vibe. Once again, the entire project was produced with a zero-dollar budget, relying solely on creativity and resourcefulness to bring our vision to life.
