"REARVIEW MIX - 04.2025" is the first in a series of monthly DJ Mixsets by DANTE'S PEAK, released on April 30th, 2025, exclusively on Soundcloud and Youtube. Having played for and drawn crowds to a variety of venues in the Ottawa area with much success, such as J’TM Resto and Sky Lounge in the Byward Market, and a couple of large-scale outdoor events for the University of Ottawa, I took the next logical step in getting my mixes out to a wider audience and released the first volume of the REARVIEW MIX series. Inspired by the multitude of EDM styles I have come to love (such as Eurotrance, Piano House, and UKG) and the need to mix these with some of my favourite Hip-Hop and Pop tracks, the mix reached 85 plays in its first month of release.

In addition to curating the mix to be the seamless, 25-minute transition between 15 tracks and multiple different genres, I also handled all additional graphics and promotion. The artwork each month is very much inspired by the things I enjoy and feelings I have when creating these mini-sets. The first edition to this series was rooted in defiant, filterless and high-energy vibes, which is why the "Defiant Jazz" episode and scene in season one of the Apple TV+ original "Severance", was the perfect inspiration. Carrying this energy into the promotion of this mix is what allowed it reach almost 100 streams in its first month despite not having a following prior to its release.
